  • F.A.Q.

Got questions? You're not the only one, here are some popular ones

How can we encourage employees to take accountability? (i.e. not a workplace accountability)

Traditionally we see the “burnout” phenomenon as both a workplace and social one because of culture, expectations, and social norms. Individuals are in a disassociated state seeing the problem as outside themselves.

However, if you break down burnout; fatigue, exhaustion, anxiety, panic attacks, brain fog, cynicism, existential thinking; that’s as personal as you can get, and it's directly impacting the individual. The act of helping the employee take responsibility for their circumstances within their control, their own goals for recovery, and their own motivation is the best way to help employees recover.

How do companies pay for this?

Generally it's between these two options:

    1. Employee covers themselves because they need it. We can offer them affordable payment plans.

    2. Employer partially or completely subsidizes them:

    • Cost-benefit with immediate turnover, impaired performance, disengagement (30%-150% of their annual salary >> 2-10x return)
    • Personal Spending Account ($1,000-$5,000)
    • Training and Development Budget (especially if burnout is performance related)

What happens if employees are too busy to overcome burnout?

Willpower only goes so far, and we commonly see a poor burnout and recovery loop that perpetuates pain. Ultimately work becomes suffering and other areas of life like health, family and relationships totally breakdown before you’re out of commission at work. We hear stories over again looking back at burnout tragedies that they wish someone had helped them intervene sooner. That’s where we see how the workplace can play a pivotal role.

How do you prevent burnout from happening again?

What makes us unique in two ways – our intervention process targets the root causes of the burnout behaviours, beyond the symptoms. Secondly, our burnout recovery program includes NLP intervention tools so we shift the neurology in our change work, it’s not just learning about best practices.

What happens if employees quit afterwards?

If they quit, that’s a positive thing. After the burnout intervention and recovery, if they gain deep clarity and determine that there's a clear mismatch, it’s more costly and risky that you keep them, no matter how important their role. Self-sabotage will become an open risk, where the collateral damage is the company.

How does the survey work? Is it evidence based?

Modelled after the Maslach Burnout Inventory and integrated with the indicators of burnout we are seeing in practice today. What makes this personalized is the questionnaire is open to subjective experiences measuring frequency; never, rarely, sometimes, often, always on a baseline of common workplace burnout related behaviours.

    What is NLP?

NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming. Neuro refers to your neurology; Linguistic refers to language; programming refers to how that neural language functions. NLP is a set of tools and techniques, but it is so much more than that. It is an attitude and a methodology of knowing how to achieve your goals and get results.

Is NLP related to therapy or counselling?

We don't follow approaches of diagnosing and treating symptoms or give advice by listening to your problems. With NLP, we utilize different tools and techniques to rapidly change unconscious behaviors, access resourceful states, resolve internal conflicts, shift beliefs and remove limitations with our goal to help you get results.

Is this program and training useful for burnout prevention?

Our core focus is around burnout intervention and recovery. While it's important to avoid burnout with maintenance practices like resilience training, mental health check ins, mindfulness, breathing techniques, self-care, journaling, talk therapy, etc., it's not very effective when you're struggling with mild to severe burnout. Intervention is designed to stop the causes of burnout within the nervous system.

What makes your burnout recovery program different?

Most recovery programs just share knowledge and practices that are great intellectually but don’t actually affect internal change. We teach you how to install and test empowering beliefs, states, and behaviors using NLP so it immediately responds within your nervous system when burnout-related instances affect you in real life. Our results deepen more with supplementary coaching.

    What is Coaching?

Coaching has become a vital management and leadership tool. It gives the structured support, guidance and confidence to enable clients to develop and continue to improve their performance. The goal of coaching is to be thought provoking and ask deeper questions that are potent and powerful to help create new patterns for clients to take action and achieve their desired outcomes.

What are the responsibilities of the NLP coach?

Coaches responsibilities include helping clients discover, clarify and align with what the clients wants to achieve. Encourage the client's self-discovery process. Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies to help them take action and achieve their goals. Utilize NLP tools and techniques to assist the client in achieving their goals. Holding the client responsible and accountable.

Do you have a guarantee on your work?

Within 6 months if they are experiencing remission of symptoms from the same issues we’ve cleared, and both the practitioner and the client has done everything, they’ll get a refund or credit depending on the payer.

Can therapy and coaching be done online?

While we recommend in-person as it's a more comfortable, immersive and social experience with our partnered network of resort and wellness locations, we have virtual venue as well. Our virtual therapy is HIPPA compliant so it's secure and designed for therapeutic work. Either or, the therapeutic outcomes are the same.
